Marcus is a Director of IPG Family Office and is based in Limassol, Cyprus. He has over twenty years’ experience working alongside ultra-high net worth families and their advisors and he specialises in setting up and managing bespoke complex asset protection and wealth management structures.
Originally from West Sussex in the United Kingdom, Marcus has pursued a career in the private wealth management arena earning him the opportunity to work and reside in leading jurisdictions including London, Jersey, Isle of Man, Bermuda, Cayman Islands and The Bahamas. Previous experience at institutions such as the Royal Bank of Canada, The National Bank of Dubai, The National Bank of Abu Dhabi and HSBC Private Bank has given him a well-rounded understanding of the requirements and challenges that families face. This is especially true when it comes to corporate succession planning, philanthropy and retaining the ”family identity” and also to providing guidance when family dynamics change and business interests diversify – by location as well as by asset class.
Marcus has always had a keen interest in humanitarian matters and has spent time living in the Southern Africa region during 2012 & 2013 as well as travelling through parts of Asia in 2016 when the opportunities arose.
Marcus is a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (“ACAMS”) as well as STEP and ITPA. He received his received his Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist designation from ACAMS in 2015 and his Diploma in International Trust Management from STEP in 2007..
